Conn 10M Tenor Saxophone (1938)
Conn 10M Tenor Saxophone. Serial number 284646 dates this saxophone to 1938. These early 10M horns featured: rolled tone holes, forked Eb key, G# trill key, locking screws on the pivot screws, the famous lady engraving and that huge Conn Tone. This saxophone retains around 75% of its original lacquer with most wear on the back. There are no repairs, but there are a couple of modifications for comfort: the strap ring has been moved so the horn hangs better and the original thumb hook has been replaced with a modern hook. There are a couple very minor dings. The horn is in excellent playing condition. Pads with plastic dome resonators are in very good to excellent condition. The Gator contoured case is in excellent condition. This is a great American Classic Tenor Saxophone and it has a great tone.
