Martin Handcraft Alto Saxophone (1928)
Martin Handcraft Alto Saxophone. Serial number 88229 dates this saxophone to 1928. These later versions of the Handcraft Model are nice quality horns and the first of their model with full keywork including a front F key. Most likely, this saxophone left the factory as a bare brass saxophone and was later lacquered. Around 90% of the old lacquer remains. There are very minor dings and repairs. The pads are mixed older and new, but mostly newer pads. This horn was owned or sold at one point by Eugene Rousseau. The older vintage tweed style case is in very good condition. Lots of horn for the money.
